Scholarships Overview:

  • An average of 1,000 scholarships will be disbursed in September-October 2023. (30$/per student in Primary and Secondary school, 44$/per student in High school)
  • Thiện Chí is currently conducting surveys to identify students from disadvantaged backgrounds.

Monthly Scholarships:

  • Currently, Thiện Chí is supporting 10 financially challenged students with monthly scholarships.
  • Each month, these students will receive 300,000 VND to cover educational expenses, including purchasing supplies, uniforms, and books for the academic year.

University Scholarships:

  • Thiện Chí is currently supporting 5 financially disadvantaged university students with tuition fees to help them continue their education. (1 student has already graduated)

School Programs:

  • Thiện Chí has conducted eye screening for 27,396 students (grades 1-4) in various elementary schools within its operational areas.
  • Providing recycled plastic desks for 1 class.
  • Supporting 2 libraries in schools.
  • Educating 26 children with disability at Thiện Chí's office in Đức Linh.

Sexual & Gender Education in Ethnic Minority in Tanh Linh:

  • 39 teachers have received training in Sexual & Gender education.
  • 295 students have been educated in Sexual & Gender education.

Support for school facilities, roofing.

Over the past 6 months, thanks to MOMO's sponsorship, Thiện Chí has provided support to Tân Thuận Elementary School, enabling them to have a more spacious and well-maintained playground. Additionally, a roofing structure was constructed in the school premises, offering the children a cooler and shaded play area.

Ms. Nguyễn Thị Trí’s family resides in Đức Linh district. Previously classified as a near-poor household with financial difficulties, they joined a microloan program in March 2022. The family consists of four members: the couple and their two school-aged children. Without any farmland of their own, they had to rent land to grow corn and lived in a temporary shelter next to her mother-in-law's house in Hamlet 1A. Aside from working on the rented fields, both husband and wife would take on any hired work they could find, but the jobs were unstable, resulting in an average income of only 875,000 VND per person per month.

Mrs. Thơ's family in Đức Linh District faces many hardships. She and her husband have three young children, two of whom are of school age. Due to a lack of capital for production, the family struggled to improve their livelihood. Seeing their situation, Thiện Chí Center provided them with a loan to help them invest in their future.
