  • Awards by VUSTA Viet Nam & VUSTA Binh Thuan province

Thien Chi is often quoted as the good model NGO in Binh Thuan province. It has received several awards by VUSTA Vietnam and VUSTA Binh Thuan province each year for its great contribution of community development. It has also been asked by the province to show the way to other local NGOs and organizations.

  • Award by World Bank for Innovation Project

Thien Chi has always focused on sustainable development. It was asked by the authorities to look into waste management, a growing concern in Vietnam. Thien Chi has designed a waste recycling program to reduce waste and produce compost. At the same time, Thien Chi organizes the collection of plastic waste by tens of thousands of children at school. The waste is sold for recycling, thus providing additional income to the schools. The program also has a tremendous impact on public opinion to reduce the use of plastic. Thien Chi was rewarded by the World Bank for its innovative program.

  • Award by MSD (Research Center for Management and Sustainable Development) for Transparency and Accountability

In 2014, Thien Chi was honorably acknowledged as one of the organizations with the best practices on transparency, accountability and resource mobilization by MSD in Ha Noi.

  • Awards by local authorities at project sites in 3 districts of Binh Thuan province

Each year, Thien Chi has received a lot of awards from local authorities where it operates for community support and development. These awards are the recognition for Thien Chi’s contribution and reputation for the development of the communities.

  • Awards by the Trophy BBDM in Belgium, and Laureat for Human rights by the CNCDH in France (January 2021)

This is an award for the many people who work together as partners or sympathizers, acknowledging our efforts to help the people in Viet Nam.

SUPPORTING EDUCATION – MONTHLY SCHOLARSHIPS FOR CHILDREN IN NEED

Over the past time, the project has closely cooperated with local authorities in various communes to continue providing monthly scholarships for students from disadvantaged backgrounds. Each scholarship ranges from 300,000 to 500,000 VND per month and is granted regularly to offer practical support to families facing financial hardship.

INITIAL EFFECTIVENESS OF THE SOW PIG FARMING MODEL IN 2025

In 2025, the project provided support to 36 households to implement a sow pig farming model with the aim of improving livelihoods and increasing household income in the local area. Participating families received technical guidance on breeding, care, disease prevention, and the use of locally available feed resources to reduce production costs.

Legal Awareness and Legal Aid Program for Community Members in Ham Thuan Nam Commune

On December 18, 2025, Thien Chi Center, in coordination with the Women’s Union, Farmers’ Association, Youth Union, and Veterans’ Association under the Fatherland Front of Ham Thuan Nam Commune, organized a legal awareness and legal aid program for local residents. The activity attracted 90 members from various community organizations.

SUPPORTING MS. HANH’S FAMILY ON THEIR JOURNEY TO OVERCOME HARDSHIP

We had the opportunity to visit the family of Ms. Hanh (45 years old), who lives in Hamlet 1B, Tra Tan Commune, Lam Dong Province. Her family is facing financial hardship and is currently participating in the loan support program of Thien Chi Center. The household consists of five members: a couple and their three sons. The eldest son, Tin, is a fifth-year medical student at Ho Chi Minh City University of Medicine. The second son, Thanh, is studying at Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology and is currently undertaking his internship. The youngest son, Nam, is a ninth-grade student.
