Following the floods in September 2025, many dragon fruit gardens of farmers in Tan Lap Commune were seriously affected, causing damage to crops and reducing household income. To accompany farmers in restoring their livelihoods, Thien Chi Center continued its second round of support for the recovery of dragon fruit gardens.
The Center’s agricultural engineering team visited farmers in Tan Lap Commune to understand the current condition of their gardens and discuss the challenges they are facing. During the visits, the engineers and farmers assessed the condition of the dragon fruit plants, identified remaining difficulties, and reviewed problems that had emerged during the recovery process.
Based on the actual situation of each garden, the technical team worked together with farmers to identify appropriate solutions for the next stage of recovery. The discussions focused on plant care, soil improvement, proper nutrition, and pest and disease prevention.
This activity aims not only to help farmers gradually restore their dragon fruit gardens and production capacity, but also to strengthen their knowledge and farming skills. Through continued technical guidance and close collaboration with local farmers, Thien Chi Center hopes to contribute to more stable and sustainable agricultural production and improved livelihoods for affected households.
