At the end of 2015, Lam was diagnosed with end-stage kidney disease and had to undergo dialysis. Thiện Chí became aware of Lam situation and extended a helping hand. The center paid for my high school education. Lam continued my studies at Phan Thiết University, majoring in Information Technology. Over the course of three and a half years in university, with the assistance of Thiện Chí covering Lam tuition fees, Lam graduated. Thiện Chí not only provided financial support for my education, but also helped me secure a job and provided financial assistance for Lam monthly dialysis treatment.
