In the recent eye screening project conducted across 86 primary schools in 3 districts: Tanh Linh, Duc Linh, and Ham Thuan Nam, involving 27,979 students, the detection and resolution of visual issues are extremely crucial.
The project identified 2,903 students with visual impairments after the initial screening. Upon conducting a second screening for these 2,903 students, we narrowed down the list to only 2,124 students who would undergo further examination with an optometrist, while 1,166 students with visual issues were provided with free eyeglasses.
Providing free eyeglasses to 1,166 underprivileged students across the 3 districts highlights the importance of caring for students' vision and also helps parents and the community realize the significance of children's vision, encouraging them to pay more attention to their children's visual health.
