Khánh Duy is a second-grade student at Tan Lap 2 Primary School, located in Lap Son village, Tan Lap commune, Binh Thuan province. Duy lives with his grandparents in a makeshift stilt house deep within the residential area. His family is considered poor, and they belong to an ethnic minority group that moved from the North to settle here over 10 years ago.
Duy's circumstances are very difficult. His father works in unstable, temporary jobs, and his mother left when Duy and his younger brother were still small. The two brothers are cared for by their elderly grandparents. Despite his old age and poor health, his grandfather works as a security guard at a company, earning about 3,000,000 VND (approximately 122 USD) per month to support the education of the two grandchildren. The whole family is currently staying in a stilt house of a relative, without land or valuable assets.

Despite the hardships, Duy always strives to study. He is obedient, polite, and has a strong determination to excel in his education. Going to school is a great joy for him. A scholarship would be a huge encouragement for Duy to continue his studies and nurture his dreams. His family is hoping to receive support to help Duy have the same opportunities as his peers to go to school. They are requesting a monthly support of 12 USD to help Duy maintain his life and continue his education.
