Trần Trang Nguyên, born in 2015, is currently a 4th-grade student in class 4A at Mang To Primary School. Nguyên’s family consists of four members, including her parents and older sister, living in Hamlet 1, Mang To Commune, Tánh Linh District, Bình Thuận Province. The family is classified as a poor household in the locality.
Nguyên's older sister is studying hairstyling at the Saigon Women's Cultural School. Nguyên's mother is the main breadwinner of the family, earning a living by collecting and selling wild vegetables, rattan, and fruits, but her income is insufficient to cover the family’s expenses. Nguyên's father has been suffering from chronic kidney disease since 2016 and has been undergoing dialysis for the past nine years at Đức Linh Hospital, three times a week. Although he has health insurance, the family still spends around 5 million VND per month on medication and travel costs. His condition has worsened, leading to liver and heart complications, including hepatitis, heart valve regurgitation, and chronic pain in his limbs due to prolonged dialysis.
Despite these difficult circumstances, Nguyên strives to excel in her studies. With a strong desire to learn, the family hopes for support from benefactors of 300,000 VND per month for one year to help Nguyên buy books, school supplies, and continue attending school.
