Huỳnh Nhất Long is currently a 6th-grade student in class 6B at Duy Cần Secondary School, Gia An Commune. He lives with his grandmother and youngest uncle in Hamlet 8, Gia An Commune, Tánh Linh District.
Long was born into a very difficult family situation. His parents left when he was just one year old and have been out of contact ever since. The family consists of three members: his grandmother, his youngest uncle, and himself. The youngest uncle often works far away from home and earns only enough to support himself, so he cannot contribute to the family. Long's life primarily depends on his grandmother, who has no fields or land to farm. Her main income comes from seasonal labor, a job that is highly unstable (she can only work 10–15 days per month, earning 200,000 VND/day). This irregular income makes life very challenging.
Additionally, Long suffers from an eye condition that requires costly treatment, further straining their financial situation. His eye problems also make studying and daily activities difficult. Despite these hardships, Long is a dutiful grandchild who listens to his grandmother and teachers, and he strives to do well in school. Given his family’s challenging circumstances, they hope kind benefactors and the Thiện Chí Center will consider providing a scholarship to ease their financial burden. They request monthly support of 300,000 VND during the second semester and the following year to help Long maintain his education.
After conducting a field survey, it is evident that Long's family is in genuine need of assistance. Monthly scholarship support would provide much-needed financial relief for his education and living expenses, alleviating some of the burden on his grandmother. We kindly request a donation from benefactors and the project of 3,600,000 VND for a period of 12 months to cover Long's educational and health-related expenses. The family sincerely thanks you for your support.
