Future for you #65: Võ Thị Trúc Ly

Võ Thị Trúc Ly, born in 2015, is currently a 4th-grade student. Her family lives in Khu Phố 4, Phước Dân, Ninh Phước, and belongs to a low-income household with six members—her parents and four school-aged children. Ly's eldest sister is in her second year of Law at Hue University, studying online because the family cannot afford the tuition fees for regular on-campus studies. The three younger sisters are in 10th grade, 4th grade, and 2nd grade, respectively.

Both of Ly’s parents have poor health. Her mother suffers from cerebral anemia, while her father has a spinal deformity that limits his ability to work. Currently, her father works as a nighttime neighborhood militia member, earning only about 1 million VND per month. During the day, he takes on grass-cutting jobs to support the family. Ly’s mother works as a hired cattle caretaker for her brother, earning another 1 million VND per month. Recently, she has also started doing clothing repairs to earn extra income. The family's average monthly income is only 533,000 VND per person.

The family occasionally receives small financial support from relatives, but the cost of education remains a heavy burden. To cover school expenses, they often have to borrow money first and repay it gradually through their labor.

Despite the difficult circumstances, Ly is always diligent in her studies, achieving good results and holding onto the hope of continuing her education for a better future. Given this special situation, we hope to receive a monthly scholarship of 300,000 VND for Ly to help ease the financial burden on her large family and support her dream of staying in school.
