Huynh Van Trieu - Grade 4, Tanh Linh District - Applying for a scholarship
Huynh Van Trieu lives in the Tanh Linh district and is currently in grade 4. He suffers from cerebral palsy and mild down syndrome, which affects his limbs movement and causes language delay. In a family struggling with poverty, the pandemic forced Trieu's parents to work in another region, leaving him and his sister in their grandmother's care. They occasionally visit and send money to support the two children. Additionally, the grandmother is also taking care of her own daughter, who has glass-bone disease and already broke her bones 32 times. Despite these challenges, Trieu tries his best to study and catch up with his classmates, of course a little slower.
The family's income relies on the grandmother working daily labors, which yields 6.50$ per day but is very unstable. This income is not sufficient for the living and education costs for the children. The hope now is that Thieu can get a scholarship to lessen the burden on his grandmother's shoulders.
With a donation of US$ 13 per month, you can provide him a scholarship and give him a chance at a normal life.
