Future for you #71: Nguyễn Hoàng Yến

Nguyễn Hoàng Yến, born in 2018, lives with her parents and two younger siblings in a small 40m² house in Dân Thuận Hamlet, Hàm Thạnh Commune, Lâm Đồng Province. Her family is classified as a poor household by the local authorities. Their home, a charity house supported by the commune many years ago, is now deteriorating.

The family's livelihood depends mainly on Yến’s father, Nguyễn Quốc Hội, who does odd jobs whenever available. Her mother, Nguyễn Thị Bích Trầm, stays home to care for the young children and cannot work. Yến’s grandmother, Lê Thị Phượng, is disabled due to severe burn injuries and is unable to work. Her uncle works at a local warehouse, earning just enough for basic meals.

Life is extremely difficult — the children often go without milk, and even daily essentials are a struggle. To earn a little extra income,

Yến’s mother picks up seeds and peels them with her daughter to make a small amount of money each day. Recently, the local authorities supported the family with a cow, but it has not yet brought significant improvement.

Yến and her younger siblings are at the age where they need proper care and education. The family hopes to receive mo

nthly support of 300,000 VND to help the children attend school, nurture their dreams, and overcome their current difficult circumstances.
