Nguyễn Thị Thanh Tuyền, born in 2018, is the only daughter of Mr. Nguyễn Thanh Hoa (born in 1979) and Mrs. Nguyễn Thị Tường Vy (born in 1983). The family currently resides in Phú Sơn Hamlet, Tuyên Quang Commune (formerly Hàm Mỹ), Lâm Đồng Province.
After nearly 16 years of marriage, the couple finally had their first child following 8 long years of treatment for Mrs. Vy’s ovarian cysts. Due to financial hardship, they built a small temporary shelter with a tin roof and makeshift walls on a piece of land given by their parents, hoping to one day rebuild. However, life has not been easy, and that dream has remained out of reach.
The family's main source of income comes from 50 dragon fruit plants and seasonal crops like melons, gourds, and beans—but the earnings are unstable and barely enough to cover daily needs. Now eight years old, little Tuyền still lives in a rundown house that leaks every rainy season, with walls that have deteriorated over time.
The family is hoping to receive monthly support of 300,000 VND (around $12) so Tuyền can continue her education and have a brighter future like other children her age.
