Huỳnh Ngọc Như Ý is growing up in a family facing extremely difficult circumstances. Her family is classified as poor and consists of six members, including four children who are all attending school. They have no farmland and must rent a house, while the family's daily expenses depend entirely on the modest factory income earned by her mother.
Ý's father suffers from diabetes, chronic kidney disease, and several serious complications. He has completely lost his ability to work and requires frequent hospitalization.
