Medical support #14: Lê Thanh Thế

Uniting hearts to help Mr. The's Family's in his fight

Imagine a life where stability is a distant dream, where making ends meet becomes a daily battle. This is the reality faced by Mr. The - 53 years old, a soul grappling with overwhelming financial hardships and an unstable job situation.

His circumstances are nothing short of dire. Plunged into the depths of poverty, he struggles to secure a stable income. The job he relies on is fickle, leaving him in a constant state of uncertainty. There are days when work is scarce, and the specter of unemployment looms large. This unpredictable ebb and flow of income has rendered his financial situation utterly precarious, leaving him unable to cover even the most basic of life's expenses.

Their daughter, who has battled cerebral palsy since birth, was subjected to even greater hardships at the age of 16 when she experienced a traumatic incident and became a young mother. Now, their 9-year-old granddaughter is grappling with malnutrition and learning struggles. Devoted by a sense of duty, Mr. Thế's wife tends to their daughter and accompanies her granddaughter to school.

About a year ago, Mr. Thế began experiencing persistent joint pain. After numerous medical consultations, it was revealed that both of his hip joints were deteriorating, leaving him incapable of engaging in strenuous tasks. Recently, his pain has intensified to the point where he is immobilized, requiring a hip replacement surgery. Presently, he is scheduled for surgery on his left hip to alleviate the pain. Due to insufficient financial resources for hospital care, he had to plead to be discharged for at-home self-care. Meanwhile, the family must also allocate funds for his daily needs, including meals and diapers.

In the face of these dire circumstances, the family finds themselves in a position of urgent need, requiring support to cover the costs of Mr. That's medical treatment, ensuring not only his recovery but the overall well-being of the entire family.
