Medical support #21: Vo Thi Vi

Ms. Vo Thi Vi was born in 1962 and lives in village 1, Gia An commune. Her husband had a stroke and was bedridden 4 years ago. She and her uncle have 2 daughters but are also married. My aunt and uncle's family does not have any fields, so their income only depends on the uncle's monthly allowance of about 720,000 VND/month and she also gleans rice, harvests rice, and works as a hired laborer to make a living.

Unfortunately, one time she fell and broke her right femur so she couldn't walk or do anything else. After 3 months of treatment, the doctor asked her family to take her to the city hospital for surgery before she could hope to walk again, but the cost of surgery, medicine, accommodation and travel was about 40-50 million VND.

It is estimated that after deducting the health insurance support, the family will have to prepare about 20 million VND. As for uncle, had a stroke so  couldn't afford to worry.Aunt and uncle's children were too poor to take care of anything except taking care of their daily meals when they were sick.

Ms. Vi hopes that the sponsors will help her get 20 million VND so that she can go for foot surgery treatment and be able to walk again soon so she can return home and take care of her uncle.
