The family of Phạm Trọng Duy and Phạm Quỳnh Duyên is facing severe hardship. Their father, Phạm Trọng Phú (born 1967), suffers from severe gout, causing him constant pain and limiting his ability to perform any strenuous tasks. He can only sit in place and needs assistance with daily activities. Their mother, Huỳnh Thị Minh Giàu (born 1970), stays at home to care for her husband and their two disabled children, which means she cannot earn any income.
The family lives in a charity-built house, constructed in 2023 by Thiện Chí Center and the Thuận Nam town Front. However, they have only 500m² of land, which is used for their home and growing a small amount of vegetables, with no land available for further agricultural or economic development.
Duy (born 2006) and Duyên (born 2003) both have disabilities and cannot take care of themselves. The family receives a monthly subsidy of 1,260,000 VND (720,000 VND for Duy and 540,000 VND for Duyên), which only partially covers their living and medical expenses.
Previously, their older brother, Phạm Trọng Dũng (born 1999), worked at a packaging company. However, with the company's closure, he had to leave his job. Currently, he is both studying and working as a metalworker, earning between 3,000,000 and 4,000,000 VND per month, depending on the amount of work available. Dũng has been using his entire income to support his family, becoming the main breadwinner.
Currently, the family's main economic source depends on Dung. To help the family somewhat, please support 200,000 VND monthly to buy nutritional necessities for the uncle and grandchildren.
