Medical support #25 Nguyễn Vững Vàng

We would like to share the story of Nguyễn Vững Vàng, a resilient 8-year-old boy, who was born deaf. This condition not only prevents him from hearing but also from speaking and communicating like other children her age. After a thorough medical examination, doctors have recommended a hearing aid for his left ear, which costs approximately 31 million VND. For his right ear, a cochlear implant costing up to 500 million VND is required. However, the doctors have assured that even with just the hearing aid for his left ear, he would be able to hear and significantly improve his quality of life.

Vàng's mother, Mrs. Dương Thị Thoa, sells snacks and beverages at home. Unfortunately, her income is very limited due to the small number of customers. Vàng's father works as a fisherman, but this job only lasts for about 4-5 months a year with uncertain income depending on the fish caught. For the rest of the year, he does odd jobs, earning around 200,000 VND per day. The family has five members, including Vàng's two older brothers who are in grades 7 and 9, preparing for the new school year.

Mrs. Thoa plans to enroll Vàng in a school for children with hearing impairments, with a daily meal cost of 20,000 VND. However, the tuition fees and other associated costs are yet to be determined. Given their financial difficulties, Vàng's family cannot afford the substantial amount needed to purchase the hearing aid.

We desire to support the little boy with 31 million VND for the hearing aid for his left ear. Your support will be a great encouragement, providing him with the chance to hear and improve his life.
