Medical support #42: Nguyễn Văn Hiền

Mr. Nguyen Van Hien (born in 1952), a resident of Tuyen Quang Commune, Lam Dong Province, is currently facing an extremely difficult situation.

At the age of 74, Mr. Hien has been living with heart disease for many years and is no longer able to work. His wife, Mrs. Nguyen Thi Tam (62), is a homemaker who occasionally earns a small income by wrapping traditional cakes whenever work is available. The family survives on her irregular earnings and modest financial support from their children, totaling only about VND 1 million (approximately USD 40) per month.

Their hardship became even greater when their second son passed away, leaving behind two young children. Since then, Mr. and Mrs. Hien have become the sole caregivers, doing their best to raise their grandchildren and keep them in school.

Recently, Mr. Hien suffered a severe brain hemorrhage with subarachnoid bleeding. After receiving emergency treatment at Binh Thuan General Hospital, he was transferred to Cho Ray Hospital for specialized care. Doctors have determined that he urgently needs surgery and mechanical ventilation. The cost of treatment is far beyond what the family can afford.

In response to this difficult situation, Thien Chi Center is appealing to kind-hearted individuals, organizations, and donors to help raise VND 20,000,000 to support Mr. Hien's medical treatment. Every contribution, no matter how small, will help ease the family's financial burden and give Mr. Hien a better chance of recovery.

Your generosity will not only provide hope for Mr. Hien but also help his family continue caring for their two young grandchildren during this challenging time.

Thien Chi Center sincerely thanks everyone for their kindness, compassion, and support. Together, we can bring hope and strength to Mr. Nguyen Van Hien's family as they face this difficult journey.
