Mr. Le Van Khoi (born in 1969) is a poor household beneficiary who has been battling diabetes for the past 16 years. As his condition has worsened, he has completely lost his eyesight and is no longer able to work. Over the last five months, he has required daily insulin injections in addition to regular medication to stay alive.
His monthly medical expenses total approximately VND 3,000,000, including insulin, oral medicine, and traditional herbal treatment. His wife, Mrs. Nguyen Thi Le (born in 1966), suffers from severe osteoarthritis and spinal collapse, leaving her unable to work. The family's only income comes from their son, Le Huynh Minh Tri (born in 2001), who works at a dragon fruit warehouse and earns only VND 2–3 million per month, barely enough to cover food and his father's medical costs.
The family is also caring for a grandchild because their married daughter is struggling financially. Although they have received a cow through a government poverty-support program, their daily life remains extremely difficult, and they often struggle to provide enough food for the family.
Thien Chi Center sincerely appeals to kind-hearted donors to support Mr. Khoi's family. They urgently need monthly rice assistance to ensure their daily meals, as well as VND 10,000,000 to purchase diabetes medication, helping Mr. Khoi continue his treatment and maintain his health.
