Medical support #5: Lê Văn Cẩm

Stand by Mr. Le Van Cam - Share Love and Support the Battle Against Nasopharyngeal Cancer

The family of Mr. Le Van Cam, a poor family from Ham Minh commune, is facing enormous difficulties in their daily lives. They have no land for farming, and their main income comes from manual labor. I had the opportunity to visit Mr. Cam and learn about his battle against nasopharyngeal cancer.

Mr. Cam has just completed his fourth round of treatment in Ho Chi Minh City, each treatment requires significant expenses: over 3 million VND, including medication and transportation costs, with a two-day stay. He explained that this time, he was finally able to communicate after a long period of being unable to interact with others. His emotions were overwhelming, perhaps due to a deep sense of helplessness in the face of poverty and the burden of his illness.

I inquired about how Mr. Cam manages the financial aspects of his treatments in such difficult circumstances. He revealed that he had to borrow money from relatives, and when he was not hospitalized, his wife had to take up labor work. Even their young son had to drop out of school to help his mother, despite being very young (born in 2009).

Support the Le Van Cam family's journey towards a brighter future

Mr. Cam's situation is even more challenging as his eldest daughter, Nhu Oanh, also suffers from goiter, which they cannot afford to treat due to their impoverished circumstances. The growing tumor is affecting her health and development. Although she is already 23 years old, she remains petite and has not grown normally. The family mentioned that she can only rely on traditional herbal medicine, which costs around 1 million VND every 15 days and is not very effective.

Your generosity fuels hope and transforms lives with compassion

We hope that with the compassionate hearts of kind-hearted individuals, we can alleviate some of the burdens for Mr. Cam's family and help them obtain the necessary funds for medical treatment, allowing them to have a better quality of life.
