The first days in Duc Linh offered many new impressions. From individual lessons for children with disabilities at the local children’s center to community visits with families facing very different economic and health-related challenges.

Ms. Liên’s family in Hoài Đức Commune currently has five members. They rely on 3 sào of vegetable garden land and 2 sào of rice fields for their livelihood. In addition, the family raises two adult cows supported by the government and one newborn calf.

Tan Thuan 4 Primary School, located in Tan Thanh Commune in a remote area, has 228 students, most of whom are children of migrant families from other provinces. Over the years, the school’s facilities have deteriorated. During the rainy season, the schoolyard often becomes flooded, affecting students’ activities and playtime.
