Hong Nhi, born in 2015, is currently living with her grandparents and younger brother, Hong Anh, born in 2016. The family has faced significant challenges and hardships. Hong Nhi's mother left the family when the two siblings were very young.
Hong Nhi's father, Ngoc Khanh, shoulders the responsibilities of both mother and father. However, he faces numerous difficulties due to an unstable job and poor health. He used to take on physically demanding work to earn a living, but due to his back pain, he is no longer able to do so. To support his elderly parents and two young children, he takes on any available job, from laboring for others to spraying pesticides for extra income.
The life of Hong Nhi's family is incredibly difficult, and the burden on her father's shoulders is overwhelming. At times, Hong Nhi has had to take breaks from school to help her family. However, thanks to the support and encouragement from her teachers and the community, Hong Nhi and Hong Anh have had the opportunity to attend school and study in first grade at Ham My Secondary School. Teachers and kind-hearted individuals have also donated clothes and school supplies for the two children.
Every day, after school, Hong Nhi and Hong Anh are picked up by their aunt to have a meal at home. In the afternoon, when their father finishes work, he takes them back home. Despite their advanced age, their grandparents try their best to help by cooking and taking care of them. However, the family still faces many difficulties, and they greatly need the care and support from compassionate individuals.
