Ngô Quang Trường is currently studying in 7th grade at Măng Tố Secondary School. He lives with his grandmother and older brother, as his mother left when he was just 2 years old, and his father passed away in 2018. His grandmother is now 65 years old, and she suffers from knee joint problems and sciatica.
Thanks to a government subvention, the family can have money to renovate their house and making their lives more comfortable. With a mere 5 acres of cashew growing as the primary source of income, they manage to make around 4 million VND per year (180$). When you add the other daily jobs, the current family income is 527,000 VND/month.
Thanks to a monthly scholarship of 500,000 VND (20$) and support over the course of one year to purchase books, supplies, and cover school fees, Truong can continue attending school and pursue his dreams.
