One of the standout initiatives is the "Cattle + Poultry + Earthworm + Grass" model—a closed-loop circular agriculture system that maximizes local resources, reduces production costs, and minimizes environmental waste.
Under this model, cattle manure is used to farm earthworms. The earthworms serve as a nutrient-rich feed source for poultry, which in turn produces high-quality organic manure. This organic fertilizer is then applied to nourish grass pastures, supplying fresh forage back to the cattle and completing a fully sustainable, closed loop.
This approach diversifies income streams across multiple agricultural products, reduces livestock feed and fertilizer expenses, protects the environment, restores soil health, and promotes green agriculture. Most importantly, it secures stable livelihoods and improves the overall quality of life for local residents. This initiative's success has been made possible through the generous support of HSBC.
