In April 2025, the Thien Chi Center in Ham Thuan Nam collaborated with the Ham Thuan Nam District Youth Union to organize a communication campaign on drowning prevention for students at Ham Thanh and Thuan Quy Primary and Secondary Schools. A total of 1,871 students actively participated in the program.
In addition to providing knowledge and safety skills related to water environments, the program also included practical activities to raise community awareness. Youth Union officers and volunteers visited hazardous areas such as ponds, lakes, and deep rivers in the locality to conduct surveys and install warning signs. The aim was to minimize the risk of drowning accidents, especially during the summer when children are more likely to play near bodies of water.
This activity not only helped students enhance their awareness of drowning prevention but also contributed to creating a safer living environment for the entire local community.
