Recently, the project collaborated with local authorities to conduct surveys and review monthly scholarship support for students facing challenging conditions. Based on the assessment, the project approved a monthly scholarship of 500,000 VND for Đỗ Xuân Thành from Đồng Kho Commune. This support helps him purchase school supplies and cover essential educational expenses.

Thành’s Circumstances
Đỗ Xuân Thành, a student in class 8A at Đức Bình Secondary School, comes from a deeply disadvantaged family. He lost his father at a young age, and his mother is currently battling cervical cancer. Despite her illness, she must work far away in Ho Chi Minh City to earn a living. Thành and his younger sister, who is now in grade 6, live with their grandmother—who has cared for them since they were small. However, the grandmother is elderly, often ill, and unable to work.
The family is renting a house at a cost of 4 million VND per year. Their daily life is unstable and filled with hardship, often relying on the kindness of others. The household’s income depends almost entirely on the mother’s irregular labor work, making their situation extremely difficult.
