Organize a charity run to raise funds for scholarships

After the Steering Committee for Continuing Education visited and inquired about the circumstances of struggling families, Thiện Chí, in collaboration with the Ham Thuan Nam Project Management Board, organized a charity run to raise funds for scholarships. On August 30th, the charity run was a success, the fundraising effort resulted in approximately 400 million VND.

These scholarships will be awarded by local authorities at the beginning of the new school year. Thiện Chí will distribute the scholarships directly to the students who were previously surveyed and identified as needing support.

The success of the charity run not only provided crucial financial resources but also demonstrated the community's solidarity and commitment to supporting education for students. This event significantly contributes to improving educational opportunities for those most in need and encourages community engagement in the sustainable development of students.

The family of Ms. Phạm Thị Thu Hiền, residing in Hamlet 1, Đức Hạnh Commune, Đức Linh District, Bình Thuận Province, is one of the local impoverished households with four members. Previously, their life, though modest, was stable thanks to her husband Thoại’s job as a loader. However, a severe workplace accident left him with cervical spondylosis and a herniated disc, rendering him unable to work. Without health insurance, he could only seek free traditional herbal treatments at a temple. As a result, the financial burden fell entirely on Ms. Hiền’s shoulders while their two children were still in school, with costs rising steadily.

This past September, ahead of the 2024-2025 academic year, the Thiện Chí Center in Đức Linh brought immense joy to four underprivileged students in Đức Tín Commune, Đức Linh District, Bình Thuận Province.
