Recently, the Thien Chi Center collaborated with Thuan Nam 1 Primary School to organize an awareness campaign for students about the harmful effects of cigarette smoke on human health and the environment. The event attracted participation from the school’s teaching staff and nearly 800 students, creating an engaging and energetic atmosphere.

During the session, students learned about the dangers of passive smoke, including respiratory diseases, cardiovascular issues, and negative impacts on physical and cognitive development. The Center also emphasized the environmental consequences of cigarette waste, such as air, soil, and water pollution.

With visual presentations and interactive activities, the program helped students easily absorb information and improve their understanding of community health protection. Both the school and the Thien Chi Center hope that this knowledge will encourage students to become young advocates, contributing to a cleaner, smoke-free environment.
