Recently, the project collaborated with local authorities to conduct surveys and provide monthly scholarships to disadvantaged children in the community. A monthly scholarship of 300,000 VND has been granted to Trịnh Bảo Quốc from Đồng Kho commune, along with additional support of 1,000,000 VND for medical treatment.

Trịnh Bảo Quốc is a Grade 5B student at Huy Khiêm 2 Primary School in Đồng Kho commune. His family is in a difficult situation, with income mainly depending on his parents’ unstable daily labor work.

Quốc suffers from kidney failure and requires regular treatment. Almost all of his parents’ earnings are spent on his medical care. Every month, he must travel to Children’s Hospital 2 in Ho Chi Minh City for treatment. Depending on his condition, he may need to stay in the hospital for about 2 to 10 days each visit. Even after health insurance coverage, the treatment cost still ranges from 8 to 10 million VND per visit.

According to doctors, his condition requires long-term treatment, and in the future, he may need regular dialysis, which will significantly increase medical expenses. Due to the need to care for him, his parents are unable to work regularly, causing the family’s financial situation to become increasingly difficult and exhausted.
