Future for you #81:Trịnh Bảo Quốc

Trinh Bao Quoc is a fifth-grade student at Huy Khiem 2 Primary School, Dong Kho Commune, Lam Dong Province. He lives with his parents in Huy Khiem 1 Hamlet. The family consists of only three members and is classified as extremely disadvantaged. They have no farmland, and their unstable income depends entirely on daily hired labor.

Quoc suffers from chronic kidney failure and requires long-term and regular treatment. Every month, he must travel to Children’s Hospital No. 2 in Ho Chi Minh City for medical care. Each treatment lasts from 2 to 10 days, costing the family 8–10 million VND per visit, even after health insurance coverage. All of the family’s limited income is spent on his medical treatment.

Quoc was diagnosed with the disease when he was in third grade. At first, the condition was mild and manageable, but it has progressively worsened, leading to increasing medical expenses. Doctors have confirmed that he will need prolonged treatment and may require regular dialysis in the future. Due to caring for Quoc, his parents are unable to work consistently, pushing the family into severe financial hardship.

The family currently lives in a small, dilapidated 40m² house with an old tiled roof, temporary walls, and a cement floor. During the rainy season, the house leaks badly, and in the dry season, it becomes unbearably hot. Despite his illness, Quoc remains diligent in his studies and attends school whenever his health allows, although his academic progress is affected by his condition.

Recently, teachers at Huy Khiem 2 Primary School raised 15 million VND to support part of his medical expenses. Over the years, Thien Chi Center has also provided him with an annual school-year scholarship of 700,000 VND and recently an additional 1,000,000 VND to support his education and medical visits.

After on-site assessment, Thien Chi Center confirms that Quoc’s family is in urgent need of assistance. We sincerely appeal to benefactors to support Quoc with a monthly scholarship, with a proposed total amount of 10,000,000 VND (500,000 VND per month), to help him continue his education and medical treatment, and to ease the burden on his family.
