Dang Thi Kim Ngan, a 12th grade student at Pham Van Dong High School, Phuoc Hau commune, Ninh Phuoc district, Ninh Thuan province wishes to continue studying to complete the 12th grade program.
Currently residing in Ta Duong village, Phuoc Thai commune, Ninh Phuoc district, Ninh Thuan province, Ngan comes from a family with 5 siblings, of which one sister is married and one brother has just joined the army.
Her father left when she was young, so the burden of raising the family fell on her mother's shoulders. Her mother is a farmer, responsible for raising Ngan and her two twin brothers who both work and study at university. Ngan and her mother lived in a small house near a remote field. They had to borrow money to buy books and uniforms. Ngan's siblings also contributed about 200,000 to 300,000 VND to take her to school. Ngan was afraid of having to leave school early, so she asked her mother to let her study until grade 12.
