Bamboo Products – Creating Jobs for Rural Women

Handmade bamboo products crafted by the livelihood group of Thien Chi Center are currently displayed and sold at stores of Mekong Quilts. These products are carefully handcrafted, environmentally friendly, and reflect the traditional craftsmanship of local communities.

Through this activity, many disadvantaged rural women have gained stable jobs and additional income while staying in their hometowns. Producing bamboo products not only helps improve their economic conditions but also gives them opportunities to develop their skills, gain confidence, and better support their families.

Besides their economic value, the use of bamboo products also contributes to environmental protection. This is a practical activity that promotes sustainable livelihoods and enhances the role of women within local communities.
