Currently, the number of children with autism in Vietnam is increasing. Early intervention for children with autism provides them with more opportunities for development and integration.
For families with children diagnosed with autism, the struggle is often prolonged and challenging. Detecting and intervening early for children with autism is crucial. The earlier the detection, the higher the success rate of intervention and improvement. This leads to more opportunities for the child to integrate into the community and become independent in life. Thien Chi Center , with its early intervention model, consistently emphasizes social responsibility, sharing the burden with families by effectively performing its mission, focusing on the child in every activity, aiming for a bright future for children with autism and developmental delays.
Children with autism not only experience delays in social relationships, language development, and academics but also face behavioral disorders that significantly impact their future lives and become a burden for their families and society. However, if identified and intervened early, these children can receive help in developing language, social skills, and awareness, enabling them to integrate into life successfully.
The optimal intervention time for children with autism is within the first three years of life when the brain is flexible, and neural connections are more easily formed. Most early intervention programs currently focus on children from 0 to 3 months, while, in broader terms, early intervention extends to before the age of 6. Beyond this age, children continue to receive support or integration intervention as they proceed with their education.
