Ms. Trang’s family has six members, including the couple and their four young children. They currently live in a cramped rented room costing 500,000 VND per month. Their limited income, combined with increasing expenses for daily living and raising children, leaves the family constantly struggling to make ends meet.
Her eldest son has developmental delays, while the other three children are of school age. The youngest, born in 2024, requires full-time care from her mother. The financial burden falls entirely on her husband, whose unstable income comes from casual labor and collecting recyclables during the off-season. The family owns only a small rice field, which is not sufficient for long-term stability. Meanwhile, Ms. Trang sells drinks in front of her mother’s house, earning just enough for simple daily meals.

Their situation worsened when the eldest son was injured in a motorbike accident and could no longer help support the family. Amid these challenges, Ms. Trang also faces health issues. During a hypertension prevention training organized by Thien Chi Center, she was diagnosed with high blood pressure and now requires regular monitoring and treatment.
In response, Thien Chi Center provided her with a health insurance card, enabling access to medical care. Though modest, this support is meaningful, helping ease the family’s burden and giving them renewed hope to overcome life’s challenges.
