Mrs. Thái Thị Mỹ Hạnh, born in 1983, lives in Phú Lộc Hamlet, Hàm Kiệm Commune, and is facing many hardships. Her husband, Mr. Cao Văn Hiền, born in 1980, has suffered from kidney stones for the past four years. Although the family spent more than 30 million VND on medical treatment, his condition has not improved, and he is now unable to work.

The couple has two children. Their son, born in 2010, had to drop out of school early to help support the family, while their daughter, Hảo, is currently in grade 8.

The family’s main income comes from 190 dragon fruit poles cared for by Mrs. Hạnh. However, the temporary house they had lived in for many years was severely damaged after the recent flood and is no longer safe to live in. The whole family is currently staying with relatives.

In response to their difficult situation, the Hàm Kiệm Commune People’s Committee, together with Thiện Chí Center and generous donors, has started building a new house for Mrs. Hạnh’s family. The house is expected to be completed within two months, before the rainy season begins, helping the family have a safe and stable place to live.
