Ms. Trần Thị Lệ Thủy’s family is classified as a poor household in the local community. The family has four members, but Ms. Thủy is the only one capable of working. Her husband suffered a stroke that caused neurological damage, leaving him unable to work and often wandering. As a result, Ms. Thủy bears the entire responsibility of supporting the family, while also taking care of her husband, cultivating two small rice fields, and doing piecework at home to earn extra income.

The eldest daughter is already working, but her income is only enough to support herself. Despite many hardships, Trịnh Ngọc Thúy Kiều, the youngest child, has remained determined in her studies. This year, Kiều began her first year at the College of Foreign Economic Relations, carrying the dream of changing her life through education. Although facing financial difficulties, she maintains a strong sense of independence, studies diligently, and strives not to become a burden on her mother.

However, the rising costs of tuition, books, and living expenses have placed an overwhelming strain on the family’s finances. To help Kiều continue her education, Ms. Thủy had to take out a student loan of 10,000,000 VND.

Thúy Kiều is a hardworking and resilient student with a strong desire to rise above her circumstances. With timely support, it is hoped that she will be able to continue her educational journey, achieve her dreams, and build a better future for herself and her family.
