In a context where many disadvantaged households face difficulties accessing formal banking loans, Thien Chi Center has been implementing a micro-credit support program for low-income families.
The micro-credit program of Thien Chi Center is designed to help people create their own livelihoods, stabilize their lives, and gradually escape poverty in a sustainable manner. Although the loans are modest, they are practical and suitable for borrowers’ repayment capacity, focusing on essential needs such as small trading, livestock raising, farming, and handicraft production.

A key strength of Thien Chi’s micro-credit model is its simple procedures, which do not place heavy pressure on borrowers. In addition to providing financial support, the Center accompanies households by offering guidance on effective use of capital, household financial management, and technical support for livelihood models. As a result, many families have used the loans appropriately, generated more stable income, and become more proactive in their daily lives.
Beyond financial assistance, Thien Chi Center also aims to foster self-reliance, responsibility, and confidence among beneficiaries. Each loan represents a trust placed in the households, helping them feel the care and support of the community, thereby motivating them to move forward.
Over the years of implementation, Thien Chi Center’s micro-credit support program has contributed to positive changes for many families: improved economic conditions, more stable living standards, better school attendance for children, and greater opportunities for adults to develop long-term livelihoods.

With the philosophy of “Providing a fishing rod, not just a fish,” Thien Chi Center continues to expand and sustain its micro-credit program, contributing to the development of a united, compassionate, and sustainable community.
