Recently, in Hoai Duc commune, Thien Chi Center organized a training session titled “Recognizing and Preventing Hypertension and the Risk of Stroke” for women participating in the Center’s microcredit loan program.
During the session, participants were introduced to practical and essential knowledge such as how to recognize the signs of high blood pressure, the potential health complications it can cause, and especially the risk of stroke if the condition is not detected and managed in time. The training also provided guidance on simple preventive measures in daily life, including maintaining a healthy diet, engaging in regular physical activity, and having periodic health check-ups.

A highlight of the training was the hands-on blood pressure measurement practice. Many participants had the opportunity, for the first time, to hold a blood pressure monitor and learn how to measure and read the results for themselves and others. The class atmosphere became lively and engaging, filled with curiosity and excitement as participants practiced measuring and comparing their results.
The training not only provided valuable knowledge about health care but also helped participants feel more confident in monitoring and protecting their own health and that of their families. This meaningful activity by Thien Chi Center aims to raise community awareness about preventing non-communicable diseases and contribute to building a healthier community that is proactive in preventing stroke.
